Why we are here

For decades, skateparks and alternative sports destinations have been neglected and misunderstood by society. They have often been created as a symptom of significant pressure from passionate individuals and subcultures. As a result, some parks historically exist through unofficial, and DIY means.

We are here to promote and legitimise these spaces and ensure that they are safe. Since wheeled sports has surged in social recognition, there is now an increased demand for skateparks, more now than ever before.

As physical and mental health declines, the integration and adoption of skateparks is long overdue. Our parks facilitate healthy lifestyles and bring together communities from both alternative and traditional sports.

Our aim is to promote and educate audiences about the health benefits from these sports, and the social mobility it can bring to communities.

Who we are

Wheelscape is an employee-owned business. We combine the UK’s most experienced skatepark designers and build teams with play and landscape specialists, all led by a management team eager to redefine expectations.

Our approach

We forge close working relationships with clients and communities that share our desire for transformational change. Guiding (and being guided) through the complete process, we knock down barriers, avoid known pitfalls and design bespoke solutions that reflect the hopes and needs of the entire community.
